Common Questions
When do I start gaining weight?
Most women gain very little weight in the first trimester (0-2kg). The majority of weight gain happens gradually during the second and third trimesters as baby grows.
Where does the weight go?
It's not just fat! The weight includes your baby (approx 3.5kg), placenta, amniotic fluid, increased blood volume, breast tissue, and fluid retention.
