What am I looking for?
- 18-Month Regression: Often linked to separation anxiety or teething (canines). Look for bedtime resistance.
- 2-Year Regression: Often linked to nap refusal or stalling tactics. Check if they are fighting naps but actually overtired by evening.
- Patterns: If "Peak Disruption" is consistently same time (e.g. 2am), it might be habitual or temperature related.

Common Questions
How long do sleep regressions last?
Most toddler sleep regressions (like the 18-month or 2-year regression) last anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Keeping a log helps you spot when things are improving.
What causes the 18-month sleep regression?
It's often a mix of separation anxiety, teething (canines/molars), and a developmental leap in independence. They may resist bedtime or wake frequently calling for you.
Is it time to drop the nap?
Around 2 years old, many toddlers go on a "nap strike" but aren't actually ready to stop napping. Use the "Nap Resistance" tracker to see if it's just a phase or a consistent pattern before dropping it.
