October offers: confirmed dates and deals to check first
Tesco’s published kids-eat-free offer runs through 18 December 2026, including weekends. October dates are confirmed for Frankie & Benny’s, BrewDog, Harvester, Toby Carvery, Village Hotels, Heathrow and the free Kellogg’s breakfast at Morrisons. Some begin later this month: use each card’s dates before planning a visit. 27 of the 47 deals have a current offer window; day and time restrictions still apply. The other 20 have upcoming dates, have ended, or need checking. Read each card’s status; a future return is shown only when dates have been published.
Dates differ by chain and region, especially in Scotland. An ended or “not confirmed” card is not a current offer. Check the official link and your local branch before travelling; a review date records when we checked, not a guarantee that an unconfirmed offer is available.

Deals are listed in good faith and checked regularly, but offers, dates, participating locations and terms can change without notice — and some venues may be excluded. Always confirm the details on the restaurant’s own website (linked on each card) before making a special trip. NewMums.com is not affiliated with the venues listed and receives nothing for including them.
Something for you
The deals above are for the children. These two are for you — both supermarket baby clubs are free to join, and both come with a free treat in the café.
A free slice of cake, pastry or fruit pot with any hot drink at the weekly parent & baby mornings.
Scones are excluded. Check your parent hood offer and participating café before visiting; the separate Kids’ Munch Menu is a paid meal, not part of this free treat.
A free club with rotating offers, advice and freebies. A current October free-cake café offer has not been confirmed; check the More app before counting on a treat.
Offers rotate, so check the More app before you set off — and not every Morrisons has a café.
If money is tight
A restaurant deal only helps if you can afford the adult meal. These schemes are properly free — and every year thousands of families who qualify never claim them, usually because nobody told them the help existed.
Up to £9.30 a week
A prepaid card topped up every four weeks to spend on plain cow’s milk, infant formula, and fresh, frozen or tinned fruit, vegetables and pulses.
Who can get it: You’ll usually need to be on a qualifying benefit. On Universal Credit that normally means monthly take-home pay from work of £408 or less. If you’re under 18 and more than 10 weeks pregnant, you qualify until your baby is born whether or not you get benefits.
These are the current published rates. Use the official NHS link to check eligibility and keep your application details consistent with your benefit claim.
Up to £11.20 a week
Scotland’s food payment for eligible families, covering milk, eggs, pulses and fresh, frozen or tinned fruit and vegetables. Payments are normally made every four weeks; check Social Security Scotland for your payment method.
Who can get it: You or your partner must get a qualifying benefit such as Universal Credit. Under-18s who are pregnant qualify without one. One application covers both Best Start Foods and the Best Start Grant.
Free holiday club + a free meal
Government-funded holiday clubs offering a free healthy meal every day alongside sports, arts and other activities — the biggest free-food offer of the school holidays, and the one most families miss.
Who can get it: For children who get benefits-related free school meals. Universal infant free school meals (Reception to Year 2) don’t count on their own — you have to be registered for the means-tested kind. Councils can also use up to 15% of their funding for other children who’d benefit, including those with SEND.
HAF remains linked to targeted free school meals, rather than the wider Universal Credit lunch entitlement. Core provision covers Easter, summer and Christmas. Councils can use up to 5% of their 2026/27 allocation for half-term provision, but October sessions and individual places are not guaranteed. Check your council’s local dates, eligibility and booking process.
Now widened — apply, don’t wait
From the 2026/27 school year, children in households receiving Universal Credit can qualify for free school meals in England regardless of household earnings. Check the application process with your school or council; do not assume an existing refusal still applies.
Who can get it: Check with your school or council how to apply. The wider lunch entitlement does not automatically qualify a child for HAF; other support has its own eligibility rules.
Two things to watch now it’s live. Applications aren’t instant — councils have to verify them, so a child applied for this week may not appear on the school’s list straight away; chase the school office if nothing has happened. And because HAF stays tied to targeted free school meals, some families whose circumstances have changed may find they keep the free lunch but no longer qualify for holiday club places.
Free nappies, clothes & equipment
There are more than 400 baby banks across the UK, quietly handing out the things new parents need most — nappies, wipes, toiletries, clothes, cots, buggies and highchairs.
Who can get it: Check the local baby bank’s referral process. Your midwife, health visitor, GP, children’s centre or school may be able to help you access support.
Emergency food parcels
If money has run out this week, a food bank can provide an emergency parcel with at least three days of food, plus practical advice and help with benefits.
Who can get it: You’ll normally need a voucher first. Your health visitor, midwife, GP, school or Citizens Advice can issue one — the Trussell site lists the referral agencies for each food bank.
If you're struggling to feed your family this week, please ask your midwife or health visitor — they can help you find local food and baby-bank support and explain the referral process. Figures on this page were checked on 7 October 2026, but benefit rates and scheme rules do change, so use the official links to confirm what you're entitled to.
Good to Know
Ongoing offers include Morrisons Café, Bella Italia, Las Iguanas, Turtle Bay, Purezza and Pausa at Dunelm, with qualifying adult purchases. The Real Greek and Banana Tree offer Sunday deals. Franco Manca is limited to four named restaurants. Premier Inn offers free children’s breakfasts with a qualifying adult breakfast. Tesco’s published offer runs until 18 December 2026. Use the cards for ages, exclusions and current dates.
Usually, yes. Asda’s £1 meal needs no adult purchase, IKEA lists a 95p menu meal without an adult-meal requirement, and Morrisons’ seasonal Kellogg’s breakfast needs no purchase. Tesco requires any adult item and a Clubcard. Prezzo Kids Club also requires a paid subscription. Compare the whole bill before choosing.
Confirmed October windows are shown on the cards: Frankie & Benny’s starts 10 October in Scotland and 17 October elsewhere; Harvester and Toby Carvery run 10 October–1 November; BrewDog has separate regional windows; Village Hotels runs 26–30 October; Heathrow runs 26 October–1 November. Morrisons’ free cereal breakfast runs 12 October–1 November. School holidays and restaurant offer dates are not always the same.
Morrisons offers a free kids’ meal with a qualifying adult main costing £5 or over. Tesco offers a free children’s meal or breakfast with any adult item and a Clubcard until 18 December 2026. Asda’s £1 meal needs no adult spend; Sainsbury’s £1 meal requires an adult hot main from £5.20. Morrisons’ free Kellogg’s breakfast includes cereal and milk, not fruit, during the published seasonal dates.
In England, HAF provides activities and meals primarily for children eligible for targeted free school meals. The wider Universal Credit lunch entitlement does not automatically qualify a child for HAF. Core provision covers Easter, summer and Christmas; councils may also fund half-term sessions using a limited share of their allocation. Check local eligibility, dates and availability with your council.
Children in Universal Credit households can qualify regardless of earnings from the 2026/27 school year. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children in state-funded schools also have universal infant free school meals. Apply or check with your school or council. Other support, including HAF, may retain narrower eligibility rules; Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own schemes.
Some offers do: Tesco needs a Clubcard, Las Iguanas and Turtle Bay use rewards apps, and Harvester and Toby Carvery require a voucher that can be claimed online or in their apps. BrewDog requires advance booking using Kids Eat Free. Check the badges and official terms before arriving.
M&S parent hood members can claim a free cake, pastry or fruit pot with a hot drink on Tuesdays from 9.30am–11.30am at participating cafés; scones are excluded. Join the relevant Sparks club and check the offer. Morrisons Baby & Toddler Club rewards rotate; a current October free-cake offer has not been confirmed.
Healthy Start in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and Best Start Foods in Scotland can help eligible families buy food. Food banks and baby banks offer local support with different referral rules. Use the official links in the support section and ask your health visitor, school or Citizens Advice for help.
This page was reviewed on 7 October 2026 using available chain websites, terms and official support guidance. Unconfirmed and ended offers are labelled separately; a review date does not mean an unavailable promotion has been confirmed. Published start and end dates update card status automatically, but new campaigns still need another review. Confirm your branch’s current terms before travelling.
