18-Month Sleep Regression
Often coincides with the nap transition, plus developmental leaps (language explosion, separation anxiety, testing boundaries). Can last 2-6 weeks.
Tips: Stay consistent with routines, offer extra comfort, avoid creating new sleep associations you don't want long-term.
2-Year Sleep Regression
Often linked to big emotions, growing independence, nightmares beginning, potty training, or a new sibling. Your toddler understands more but can't always express it.
Tips: Keep bedtime calm and predictable, acknowledge fears, consider a toddler clock to help with early waking.
